Meditation and mindfulness training may lower the likelihood of relapse for those struggling to break their addiction to stimulants such as cocaine and methamphetamine, a UCLA study on mindfulness based relapse prevention suggests.
Results of the small clinical trial showed that mindfulness training is particularly beneficial for adults dependent on stimulants who have been diagnosed withdepression or anxiety, common disorders among people with substance addiction.
